  Stuck in a Rut
 

We have two types of ‘Stuck in a Rut’ sessions:


Stuck in the Rut - Entrepreneurial Session
This programme is designed to equip individuals and businesses with the tools required to initiate and facilitate growth, as well as improve performance. During this session we will encourage participants to think laterally and “outside the box” in order to find effective solutions to problems currently being faced as well as developing future strategies.

  • The differences between a vision and a mission
  • The difference between goals and objectives
  • How to set SMART goals
  • How to evaluate performance using the grow model
  • How a SWOT analysis can open new doors
  • Discover five common mistakes SME’s make 

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Use strategy to develop their  business or business idea
  • Create and manage a strategic action plan
  • Use goals and objectives setting techniques
  • Understand the importance of SMART goals
  • Use a SWOT analysis to progress their objectives
  • Identify the steps they need to take
  • Develop appropriate reasons to drive performance and improve productivity
  • Evaluate performance using the Grow model
 

Stuck in the Rut - Employability Session:  is designed to provide participants with an insight into the latest job-search techniques as well as  provide them with a range of tools to increase the number of opportunities available and ideally facilitate a return to work as soon as possible.

The session covers the following core areas:

  •  An overview of skills- this is covered from a three pronged approach.  “what they have done”, “what they can do” and “what they could do”
  • A review of the labour market
  • Explore tool such as newspaper, agencies and the internet to name a few
  • The role and purpose of the CV- learn what an “effective CV” should look like
  • The dynamics of interviews
  • The role of verbal and non-verbal communication, within the context of the interview process.
  • Preferred working styles and how this information can be used as a tool to support strategic job search.  

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • Create an effective CV
  • Proactively job search with tangible outcomes
  • Understand the role of their CV
  • Control their non-verbal communication
  • Understand the purpose of interviews
  • Should perform better within an interview setting
  • Action Plan

 

Each “stuck in a rut” session will last approximately 3 hours depending on the dynamics of the session.
